Not sure if its totally hand painted, but does look so, at least the finishing touches seem to be have given by hand in a great way. Everyone praises them a lot. There are few things I don't like about the book:

1. Many paintings in the book belong to private collection. Since the title of the book is "You MUST See", there is a very good chance you will not see them before you die.

2. The book lacks index for location of the paintings. An index of Museum and paintings in the book at that museum will be nice. I would have like to know which paintings are at which museum. It is unlikely that I will be able to visit every museum multiple times.

3. Some of the paintings in the book are small and/or are poor quality.
