This item was exactly what I was looking for. The price was right and it does what it says it will. It tells you how much elec. an item is using and how much has been used since it was plugged in. The only 2 things that I would mention that might be a negative are that it shows 3 watts being used when the item is plugged in with nothing connected to it. I am guessing that is how much electric is needed to run the device. And the more annoying issue is that it looses the recorded data instantly when it is unplugged. Don't forget this one, it will bite you. I wish they would have at least put in a short term memory and a reset button. But, it is not really a issue if you remember to look before you unhook it. Over all, I have no problem giving it 5 stars.
