![]() Linux Bible 2009 Edition: Boot up Ubuntu, Fedora, KNOPPIX, Debian, openSUSE, and more (Bible (Wiley)) $59.99 This book is loaded with helpful information that will clearly and concisely explain the fundamentals, and other advanced topics, of Linux. When I started using Linux, I had a ton of questions about the kernel and file system, and I couldn't seem to find many answers on the web. This book told me everything, without the pretentious terms of a veteran administrator, that I needed to know in order to really get a firm grasp on how Linux works. I highly recommend this book to anyone whom is either simply curious about Linux, a new user, or whom is a seasoned user looking for good reference material. ![]() OpenSUSE 11, 4-disks DVD Set, Includes "Introduction to Linux" video-DVD, Linux Training Library and printed Quick Reference Card of Linux commands, Contains both 32-bit and 64-bit versions $19.95 My sister is a software engineer. Her new assignment is some SuSe project. She asked me to buy an installment dvd for her to try out at home. I bought this set from DVDxDVD with expedited delivery and was very pleased with the fast service. I even watched the introduction video dvd with my sister. ![]() Linux Jazz, 6-disks DVD set, 32-bit Version (includes Ubuntu 9.10, Kubuntu 9.10, SuSe 11.2, Fedora 12) and "Introduction to Linux" video-DVD, also includes printed Quick Reference Card of Linux commands $22.95 I received the ordered DVD's in the mail in 2 or 3 days. Everything was exactly as described in the catalog. I installed the new version on an old hard drive as a test. All went as expected and I then installed it to my working computer. Operating system installs in about 20 minutes. Tons of additional programs can then be downloaded as needed. I was really impressed with Gambas2, a Visual Basic like programing application. It was worth the price to have an installable DVD and all the documentation as opposed to having to download the CD in about 1 hour if needed. I was satisfied and I recommend this to anyone who is thinking of trying out Linux operating systems. ![]() SUSE Linux 11 Unleashed: (Covering openSUSE 11.1 and SUSE Linux Enterprise 11) (3rd Edition) $49.99 SUSE Linux 11 Unleashed provides Linux power users, system administrators and technology enthusiasts with exactly what they are looking for: hands-on, practical information and how-tos for getting the most out of openSUSE and SUSE Enterprise Linux.
