HarperCollins must've published this just to make money, by trading on the name of the wealthy Miss Vanderbilt. I'm surprised the author knows or would admit to knowing the four-letter words buried in this cheap, trashy, shallow novella. This doesn't even resemble a work of art. It ain't literature, babe. Where is the truth? Where is the revelation of human nature? I didn't last long. Reading this book is like opening a box of chocolates only to find purple tissue paper wrapped around little lumps of coal.
