![]() Nicely Out of Tune $12.98 "Nicely Out of Tune" was Lindisfarne's 1970 debut-album. Lindisfarne's music is catchy folk-inspired music; maybe it could be described as a British version of Lovin' Spoonful's good-time music. Lovin'Spoonful had John Sebastian and Lindisfarne had Alan Hull; both great singers and songwriters. Hull contributes 7 of the original album's 11 songs, and he is obviously the dominating personality in the band. Songs like "Lady Eleanor", "Winter Song", "Scarecrow Song" and "We Can Swing Together" are simply outstanding. "Turn a Deaf Ear" written by Rab Noakes is another highlight; actually there are no weak tracks on the album. Rod Clements, another fine song-writer in the band, wrote two of the songs and especially "Road to Kingdom" is great and a Lindisfarne classic. The two bonus tracks are good, but no more than that. "Nicely out of Tune" and the follow-up, "Fog on the Tyne", are the two most consistent Lindisfarne albums, and both are highly recommendable. ![]() Baby Shower Diaper gift rubber duck duckies in glycerin soaps wrapped nicely in cellaphane with ribbon $19.99 These adorable soap duckies are dressed up as babies. The story of the (Kneisle) Nicely family is but one of the many stories from this area. The Kneisle's traveled from Hesse Darmstadt in Central Europe to Philadelphia and later moved onto a homestead near the Four-Mile Run circa 1761. The book covers their journeys and the Indian capture of one of the family members, Jacob Kneisle. It is a remarkable story covering his capture and his life after his capture and the reuniting of his descendents with the other branches of the family 228 years after his capture. Nicely also presents other capture stories to give the reader a historic view of the dangerous conditions that existed in the area of the Four-Mile Run during the Revolutionary War. His interest in genealogy led him to the capture of the brother of his Three Great Grandfather and his research into the story eventually aided in reconnecting with the descendents of Jacob Kneisle who was known by his Indian name of Tsu-Ka-We or Crow. |
