![]() First Draft in 30 Days $19.99 I purchased this book to give me an idea of how to anticipate the writing process. By that I mean, I know there's a process for writing, and experienced writers know that. I wanted to make sure that I was considering all the points I needed to make, the research I needed to do, etc. I felt this book gave me that sense of what an outline looks like and what it needs to incorporate. I wanted the specific nuts and bolts of how to put together a book outline, and I felt this book gave me that. ![]() The No Plot? No Problem! Novel-Writing Kit $19.95 This is a collection of items intended for use with the No Plot No Problem "novel in a month" system which started the whole NaNoWriMo thing. It's a great kit and full of motivational supplies to help keep you going but be aware there is next to no "how to write better" tips. The only real thing it suggests will help is writing more frequently, which I agree with. The kit is helping me complete my writing goals, but now that I have the kit, I could probably make everything in it myself. I would recommend the product but some may be very disappointed with how basic and "cute" it is. ![]() Please Kill The Neighbours (But Don't Piss Them Off) $10.00 Most nuisance neighbours can be dealt with by a court order. When your neighbour is a country ruled by an evil wizard, we recommend a demon. Of course, you need someone ... disposable ... to summon the damn thing. Meet Cullan and his companions, Alys and Kenyon, and follow their adventures when they're blackmailed into escorting Morgan, a gifted young mage, into a hostile country so that she can fulfil her Destiny. ![]() Running for My Life $16.95 Ann Gonzalez's RUNNING FOR MY LIFE captures the point of view of a traumatized teen with a clarity rarely found in YA literature. Andrea McKane is an authentic, imperfect character-- and readers will connect with her based on that characterization, whether they have PTSD or not. For those who have PTSD, the experience of reading RUNNING FOR MY LIFE does what YA lit such as this does best: it lets kids know they are not alone. I highly recommend this book.
