I bought my first sansa three years ago and it was awesome, I liked it alot. Then one day it refused to turn on or connect to my computer. I thought it was just its time to die, because I had gotten alot of use out of it. Last week I ordered the Fuze 8gb, and I thought it was really nice. I put some music on it and the first time I tried to use it, IT WOULDN'T TURN ON OR CONNECT TO MY COMPUTER! The battery is fully charged, so the blue wheel stays lit, but you cannot turn it off, and it won't power up completely. This is the same thing that happened to my old one, only this one is BRAND NEW! Maybe its a sansa glitch? All I know is I'm very angry about this and now have to go through all the hassles of returning this item. I think I'm gonna go Ipod after all.

I've had the Fuze for just over a year. At first it was a dream, exactly what I expected. Then, without warning, in the middle of a song it froze up. I haven't dropped it or abused it in any way. I keep it on my desk in my office. The only work around I have found is to let the battery discharge completely, recharge it, then it works fine for a period of time before locking up. Also, don't leave it on the charger for more than a day or you won't get any response other than the black screen of death. Pushing buttons randomly for a few minutes brings back a locked screen. Let the battery run out, recharge (for less than one day) and it works again. I was fooled by the great price and glowing reviews. Yeah the price is good, but don't expect much.
