I was hopeless when I search a book which includes homework project offerings for motion graphics students. And I shocked. The book is right in there. It's priceless if you're an experienced professional designer but just started to teach what you got.

The book gives a very high level overview of what was done for a particular project, which is nice, but not really helpful. I thought it would be more detailed. Also, since it is an older book it is hard to find examples of the pieces they are talking about. I did find some on YouTube but not many.

I highly recommend this series. It was very detailed and helped me learn how to effectively use Final Cut Pro. I enjoyed it too.

Motion Graphic Design: Applied History and Aesthetics

Having read only the first 60 pages and flipped through the book, I've found most of the text very interesting and well structured. Great for a novice motion graphics artist to learn from and a seasoned professional to see and compare other people's work.

But I do have to comment on the book and DVD design that there could be a bit more focus on on design aspects such as typo and use of color as is evident from the cover of the book. This is what threw me off first, but when hearing about the reviews of the book I decided to buy it and don't regret it.
