 Revell 1:96 Caribbean Pirate Ship $16.99 1-72 Scale. Revell is releasing many classic kits this year this is the first in the series. Measures 8 1/2 inches long when complete. Features 6 on deck cannons and molded plastic ratlines, waterslide decals with pirate graphics and flags, Moled comes molded in black. 96 pieces. Skill level 2.  Revell 1:25 '69 Shelby GT500 2 'N 1 $22.99 I bought this for my friend's 13 year old son for his birthday. He loved it. He wanted to open up the box and get started right away, but had to settle for reading all the information on the box (we were out to dinner when he received it). He kept saying "Wow, Dad look at this" at the different features. He likes to put things together such as Lego's so he was excited to try his had at a model car. He said the car I picked, '69 Shelby GT500, was really cool. He was planning to put it together that weekend with his Dad who put together model cars when he was a kid. The price was good and shipping was very reasonable. It does not include glue or paint, but I went to the local craft store and bought both for under $4 to complete his gift. Overall it was a hit.  Revell 1:535 USS Missouri Battleship $19.99 My son wanted this for his collection. He really likes it and it was a great value compared to models in the regular department store.  Posing Techniques for Photographing Model Portfolios $34.95 This is the only book on this topic I've found that offers specific, constructive techniques. Rather than just diagrams of where the model was and what lights were used, this actually talks about hand placement, body positioning, etc. |
