When teaching in colleges in the USA, my first class lecture is always on effective learning, centered around the use of "MindMapping".

I have used this program for a few months to plan projects, outline reports, and outline business plans. I find myself spending way too much time forcing the bubbles and maps to behave properly. This has absolutely hindered my ability to get my thoughts on paper quickly. The bubbles do not align easily, and they behave in an erratic manner. The formatting features are not intuitive, so you will need to print out the user manual and refer to it frequently. And making your map look good is a long, tedious job. Concept is great, but the program is very subpar if you are looking to enhance, rather than frustrate, your creativity.
