 COGHLANS WATERPROOF MATCHES (10 Pack) $2.99 Here in Central TX it is "well nigh impossible" to find a specialty item like this--no hardware store in sight has them. So...I went to good ole Amazon. You really don't want to be without waterproof matches in any kind of outdoor setting/activity. On very humid days here it has proven impossible to get a decent flame (or even a flame al all) from normal small matches...this because of moisture absorption by the tip and moist/worn strike surface. Coghlan's fires up every time. Try a comparison yourself: soak a Coghlan's and a garden-variety match in water for a few seconds and do the deed--you'll wonder why you ever were without waterproof matches around.  Diamond Penny Matches $7.99 I love these things! They cost less than shipping, and it's hard to find these anywhere else, depending where you live. Each little pack has 32 matches, and one order comes with 10 of these packs for a total of 320 matches. The matches are very easy to ignite and obviously you can use the side of the pack itself to strike a match. Perfect for my cigarettes! HA!  The Ride $0.99 OMG! I LOVE The Karate Kid. Jarden #4878902122 250CT Anywhere Matches $2.99 These work excellent, and almost anywhere (on rocks...zippers...even fingernails if you practice it...you name it), but this price is nearly 40 times more than I but these things for(same size box). Some good places to find these would obviously be: outdoor/camping/army stores, hardware stores, etc. |
