 Garmin n¸«äMaps Lifetime North America Map Updates $119.99 I bought my nuvi 350 (from Amazon) 7/07. I love using it. I recently installed this map update, because the new interstate (I-99)was not on my 2007 unit. Well, it is now! I choose the lifetime update package. It was a lot cheaper on Amazon than from Garmin. What you get is a plastic card w/ a product key. If you have not already registered your unit w/ Garmin, do so. During this process, you will install the proper plugin so Garmin can communicate w/ your unit. When you are ready to install the new maps, hook up your unit, go to garmin & follow the links & directions. Be sure you have plenty of time. The download is over 2Gb. It took my fairly fast computer a little over 2 hours to do the download. When the download is complete, it will auto upload to your unit. This also took a bit of time. I think over an hour...don't know, I went to bed. Anywho, in the morning I checked to see if the newly opened section of I-99 was there, & it was. This was a lot cheaper than turning around & buying a new unit. The nuvi 350 is a great unit. I like it because it was inexpensive, & I can enter UTM's, something I could not do w/ a more expensive Magellan unit.  World Rolled Map (M Series World Wall Maps) $4.95 It came shipped well in it's original wrapping and in a long box. It's paper, but you can always frame it or get it laminated. It's perfect for little kids to read and it's a great piece of artwork you can hang in their room, too.  Magellan 2009 One-Time U.S. Map Update for Magellan GPS Navigators (SD Card) $79.99 I bought this map update to give as a gift, expecting it to be in the original Magellan box as shown in the product page. However, what I received was just the SD card in a clear plastic package and a printed user guide thrown in to a small manilla padded envelope. Giving this as a christmas gift is much less elegant now. Shame on you Amazon for false advertising. In addition, the price of this map update seem to fluctuate on a daily basis.  American Map 714891 Hammond Deluxe Laminated Rolled Political World Map, 50w x38h $29.99 The map is very attractive and the company is an A++++. It is well packaged against damage. |
