![]() Spirit Trap $9.99 I've been going on a rip lately, borrowing every horror movie available from my local library, wallowing in disappointment night after night. This film was different enough to capture my interest, with a beautiful haunted house filmed carefully to show the subtle colors and textures. I enjoyed seeing a cast that I didn't recognize for once, and the acting was above par - I never yelled at the television, nor flung cheezy poofs across the living room. I'd like to see what the director would do with better backing in the future; talented filming is a rarity nowadays, and these scenes were smooth and composed. The set decoration was nice, but I wonder if anyone would leave antiques lying around a college rental. I wanted more detail about the history of a spirit clock, but perhaps this was just a plot device that the filmmakers invented. I'm not sure how the rental company would be able to put that many people together in one place who all sported "dark pasts" and minor clock-fixing skills, so perhaps that's why it took two hundred years for those spirits to get it right. Even though this was a bit predictable, I didn't go nuts hollering, "Well, what are the odds of that?" since it kept my interest and was fun to watch. Unusual. ![]() My Dog, Chloe: Grieving the Loss of a Man's Best Friend $14.99 This is a deeply moving, poignant and heart-opening film, and I cried as I watched it. I could resonate with the filmmaker's deep love, grief and sense of loss, as I also lost my own dog to cancer. I felt a sense of connection with him by realizing that I was not alone in experiencing the profound sadness from the untimely death of my beloved pet. ![]() Malignant Self Love: Narcissism Revisited $49.95 A definite must read for anyone who is in a relationship, considering a relationship, has recently abandoned or planning on abandoning a narcissist. One often thinks they are the problem, they must be going crazy or the like. I my case, I had climed the ladder in the medical profession (now retired)and over the space of our 3 year marriage, I was reduced to "yes and no" answers and being objectified. I could not talk to the neighbors or participate in any of my art classes, or even go to the store by myself. I finally left, or ran away, and am beginning to live again. Reading the book has helped so much with my healing and reentry into life. Don't let the 562 pages scare you. It reads very well and it is a great reference for Narcissism. ![]() Revivin $50.00 Revivin is designed to benefit cancer and symptoms of poor immunity. Clinical studies in human tumor cells compared Revivin to the most popular chemotherapy agents, showing the following results for colon, breast, and liver cancer: Revivin is more sensitive than Vincristin and Mytomycin. For colon and liver, Revivin is more sensitive than 5-Fu. For breast and cervical, Revivin is more sensitive that Cis-Platin. Revivin is non-toxic and, unlike chemotherapy, has NO side effects. It also helps reduce pain and inflammation, helps stop bleeding, and is good for stomach functions. |
