I've been absolutely head over heels for this band ever since their very inception 'til the bittersweet end. I just felt I should say a little something more than "Jesus Lizard clone". True, it's evident the band had a distinct influence on them, but one can't ignore The Birthday Party tinges (Think Mutiny/Bad Seeds EP/early Nick Cave) or for a bit of a stretch, Glenn Danzig. However, like any great band, it's the way it's presented. It's the passionate delivery that separates Love Life from your by-the-numbers pseudo cover band. And while I miss them, dearly, I'm happy to hear Sean and Katrina continuing their strike on every heart that doesn't need mending, but rather indelible penance in their new outfit, The Celebration.
