 Linux For Dummies 8th Edition $29.99 Simply stunning, this book is not informative at all. If you know how to navigate on a PC, and can read things that appear on your computer screen, you can use Linux. Go out and get a book on the bash terminal and you'll be much happier. There was actually a section in the book on using firefox on linux, give me a break.  Understanding the Linux Kernel, Third Edition $49.95 I just would like to say that it is an indispensable book for anyone who wants to get a detailed journey to the Linux Kernel. Very well written, it embraces the major kernel subsystems with very rich explanations and detailed examples.  Practical Guide to Linux Commands, Editors, and Shell Programming, A (2nd Edition) $49.99 Great Book. Delivered on-time and as promised. Thank you. A Practical Guide to Linux(R) Commands, Editors, and Shell Programming  Linux Administration: A Beginner's Guide, Fifth Edition $39.99 This book is better than the other 'beginner's guides'. It has good content and explanation for understanding Linux. It's not just another book asking you type in commands just to push through an installation. I also bought another book for beginner's and had to resort to this one to fill in the gaps and basic fundamentals. |
