While in principle this is a great product, it simply is not reliable. While you are on a call, the handset will arbitrarily disengage from the call, sending you to scramble and find your cell phone, where the other party is saying "are you there?" I have returned mine several times, and they have replace with remanufactured and then with new units and 14 months later, the phone still is not reliable and will not hold a call. It is not dependable.  Schlage LiNK Wireless Keypad Deadbolt Starter Kit System, Aged Bronze $609.00 I purchased the Schlage Link Deadbolt kit about 30 days ago and have been very pleased with the performance of the system. The installation was very simple. The hardware setup required only a screwdriver, while the rest of the network setup was pretty easy. I did follow the instructions step by step just to make sure I didn't mess up. In about 50 minutes, I had the lock in place, it was connected to my network and I had the app on my Iphone. I have the lighting kit on my main lamp in the living room and it works great. While out of town, I have a scheduler set up to turn it on and off.+ I am going to add the Thermostat control next and probably another lighting kit. I am looking forward to the release of additional accessories. Unfortunately, I have locked myself out of my house two times I can remember (30 days of each other) and had to pay $88 dollars to have a locksmith come out and let me in. To pay $13 bux a month for the entire app is worth it for me. I just won't eat out one evening. I am hoping for a garage door application because I have left my house many of times wondering if I shut the garage. I have rated this product with 5 stars because I have been very pleased and have not had any problems with the system. I am just anxiously awaiting more gadgets I can add. |
