My daughter got this for her birthday, and we've had so much fun with it! It is a pretend set though - the cups have two holes that were used to attach them to the cardboard backing, so they can't be used to hold tea. As a pretend set though, it's the best one I've seen. It sings cute songs and comes with petit fours to "snack" on. AND it says please and thank you - as a mom, I love the manners part :)

I had purchased this hardback book after seeing Linda appear on the Oprah show many years ago (she was promoting this book), and never got around to reading it. Recently, I was packing my things to move and started reading this long-forgotten book. I was amazed at how timely it was for me to have rediscovered it at this juncture in my life. I have experienced quite a bit of loss in the last three years- having lost both of my parents, my grandmother, and 3 dogs. I read this book a few pages at night before going to sleep all during the move. The book made me realize that everyone has rough patches to get through- a loss or two of some sort or another. After reading it, I gave the book to a friend who is having some hard times at the moment. I told him not to give it back after reading, but to pass it on to someone else whom he felt needed a lift. This book was conversational, as if Linda was talking directly to me. I appreciated her down-to-earth tone and humor.
