![]() Surviving Last Period on Fridays and Other Desperate Situations $15.95 This is a great aid for English teachers of middle school students. I would not recommend this for every Friday last period, but is useful for fillers towards the end of term. You can use these activities from Years 7 through to 9, however, with year 9 you may have to make some of the activities more challenging. Bravo to the authors! ![]() The Last Game $14.99 I thought the film was a great documentary depicting H.S. football and the unseen emotions that go along with it. It depicts a twist like no other film, having a father and son competing for a title that either would be proud to have the other achieve. I've watched it w/ my sons and they enjoy it as well! ![]() Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy $29.99 Unfortunately this game has several flaws which considerably diminish the playing experience: (1) Boring plot development, in an obscure historical milieu, (2) Mundane "fetch a pail of water" tasks, (3) Over-easy puzzles (mostly), (4) Inadequate cutscenes - apart from the ending, these are simple 2D graphics, (5) Too abrupt an ending, (6) Impossible timed sequence, depending on the performance of about four complex, unrelated actions (you have to cheat). On the plus side: nice graphics. ![]() Star Ocean: The Last Hope International $59.99 The year is A.D. 2087. In the aftermath of World War III, Earth has been ravaged and the population decimated by a deteriorating environment. The countries that survived have joined together to form the Greater Unified Nations and turned their eyes skyward¡Äto space. Edge Maverick and his childhood friend Reimi Saionji are chosen as pioneer members of the Space Reconnaissance Force, which was created to seek out new worlds beyond the stars. Their ship, the Calnus, takes its place on the lunar launch pad along with four other starships of the first reconnaissance fleet. These ships ? humanity¡Çs last hope ? blast off one-by-one and sail into the awaiting wormhole that leads to the vast star ocean. And so, Edge and his crew begin their voyage in search of a new haven for humanity...and a second chance. |
