![]() My Xperience $16.98 I have been a reggae fan for 15 years, to me this is the best dancehall album ever released. Bounty took the style of the hardcore dancehall deejay to heights few have matched. He pretty much raised the bar as far as dancehall lyrics in the mid 90's, and he was at the top of his game when he released this. ![]() 76/77 $16.98 I bought this cd based on a review that I read in URB. Having never heard it, I was to say the least, very pleased. I guess I would describe it as electro punk, while sometimes having a psychedilic rock sound remniscant of the Cramps. Favorites include: track 2-Mund Auf-Augen Zu, track 3-Chemie Des Alltags, track 4-LA Shaker and track 12-Heavy Rotation. Most songs are aggresive while at the same time dancable. There is also a quieter moment with the song-"High is the Pine" which really works quite well. The thematic "Cobra Movement" is also interesting which is a sample heavy song which sounds like an old bollywood soundtrack mixed with Jane Fonda workout. Overall, this is an excellent cd. ![]() Who's Da Killer? $14.98 Alright, so they don't let me do half stars and I'd rather help than hurt the rating, especially given one of the wack hating reviews on here. This was the OG Tru on here: Master P Silkk C-Murder King George Big Ed Cali-g (billed here as Challi-G) They also have "Milk Man" on the cover but I don't know who that is. This CD is tricky since it has an OG release date of 1993 and sounds from that time period, but apparently it was released or re-released in 1998. Mine has a 1993 date on MM (Me & Mine) Records - King George's imprint. It has a tight cover - it's a cop looking at pictures of the Tru members trying to figure out who did the murder! The music is mostly tight on this one - it is 10 tracks, but one is shout outs and one is NL commercial. The rest of the tracks clock in at around 40 minutes. There's some real classic gangsta ish on here, "Who's Da Killa" is a dope song with all the click rapping on it. Basically this is a tight and raw CD and I recommend it at this price for that classic Cali funk. (No Limit was repping Richmond, Cali at the moment). ![]() Killer $18.98 This CD is great to listen to along with Tech's other great cd's. This was an excellent choice to purchase. |
