I just made some delicious home-made yogurt with the Easiyo using store bought yogurt as a starter and it turned out great. I used 250 ml of yogurt (mostly because I wasn't sure how much of the culture was still alive), filled the rest of the container with 750 ml of cold milk, put boiling water in the maker, put the container with milk and yogurt starter in and sealed the maker. That was about 7 pm last night, in the morning I woke up to a full batch (1 kg/ liter) of semi-firm delicious yogurt. A little thicker than drinking yogurt, but less firm than most store bought. I think it would be firmer with added powdered milk or another dose of hot water and a few more hours to set. Take care not to heat the yogurt too much and kill all the bacteria. Start by using cold milk and yogurt and the temperature will reach an ideal range and keep it there as it slowly takes heat from the hot water. This is honestly some of the best yogurt I've ever tasted and certainly filled with healthy pro-biotic bacteria. And a very clever and efficient way to make it using this device.

I like this product because it's simple and elegant. Much less prep time than other yogurt makers and with no electricity, depending on how you heat the water. You don't have to worry about timing it too much either. The temperature cools over time which insures a wider range of beneficial bacteria. And I calculated that with as much yogurt as my wife and I eat per month we save about $70 per month making our own at home, and it tastes better, is much healthier, and creates less waste than buying from a store.
