This little device works fairly well. I bought it because all my electronics are in a cabinet with a smoked glass door, and I was having a little trouble with the cable box changing from a wide angle. It's cool watching the blue light flash when you key the remote, so you KNOW the repeater is getting the signal from the remote. However, the range is REDUCED by a fair amount with this device. I can change the channel on the cable box from way in the kitchen (40 feet) with the glass cabinet door open, using the remote WITHOUT the repeater. The sofa is about 12 feet from the remote sensor head, and even though the blue indicator flashes that it is getting the signal, it does not send enough power to the cable box to change the channel from the far end of the sofa. I was bummed because I thought I would be able to use this thing from anywhere in the room. I just got a different set of non-working areas...

Well i have to disagree with the other reviews.I ordered this item from USA and waited in anticipation for a very long time for it to arrive to me in Australia.I bought this mat hoping it would cause deep relaxation and to promote sleep as it said the infrared heat can penetrate up to 3inches.Well it definately doesn't penetrate anywhere near 3 inches deep.I expected to feel the warmth go deep into my skin/tissues and cause me to melt into a state of deep relaxation but dissapointingly it didnt have that effect.To its benefits the mat does have a nice heat and goes up to a good temperature and doesnt give any burning feelings even at the highest temperature and the mat it very good quality and comfortable but it definately isnt for someone wanting DEEP relaxation but is probably good for if you have injuries etc.Also theres a few bulky adaptors/cords which are a bit space consuming and could have been better designed.Over all i give it 3 stars.

to the customer who purchased this product and stated that in a dark room, he couldn't see anything, night vision devices aren't made to let you see anything in a dark room without the aid of infra-red. yes, with the infra-red on you were able to see, but thats only because the infra-red is there for use only in poor lighting situations. on a clear night outside with the moon out and plenty of starlight, visibility is pretty good. on a cloudy night, no moon or starlight, visibility with night vision goggles isn't as good anymore. what they're designed to do is amplify the ambient light that is given off by the moon or the stars. indoors with no light source, you wont be able to see anything without using the I.R. mode.also, most civilian model night vision devices use older generation tubes, so the image probably isnt as good as it would be with newer generation tubes. if anyone would like to read more, this is the link that goes more in depth about night vision devices
