![]() Hillside Airstrip $12.98 Let me preface these comments by saying that my favorite period of reggae music is from the 1970s. This was the era of Perry, Tubby, and Marley. "Hillside Airstrip" by 10 Ft. Ganja Plant combines elements from the best of the 1970s reggae scene. The bass is heavy, the dub is crucial, and the lyrics are conscious. I could honesty lay accolades on every track on this album. It is absolutely amazing. The musicianship is equal to some of the best of the 1970s, which is a rare compliment. 10 Ft. Ganja Plant has released no bad albums, but this one is its best in my humble opinion. Listen to "Born to Be Free" and tell me that it isn't Bob Marley reincarnate. Or listen to "Walkey Walk Tall" and tell me that the spirit of Augustus Pablo does not live on. Or listen to "New Day" and tell me that this band does not know the brilliance of dub music done right. If you want to go beyond Marley in getting a feel for the 70s reggae scene then this album ranks right up their with Lee Perry's "Open the Gate" in terms of musical brilliance. It's tough to top "Open the Gate," but for a more modern interpretation of 1970s reggae, "Hillside Airstrip" holds its own. ![]() First Place - This book has been designed to help children to understand and accept the effects of cleft palate, cleft lip or any speech impediment in ... most importantly, how best to overcome them. $9.99 This is a great little book. There are'nt many books out there that address and introduce topics such as this in a child centred way. It is great to see that material like this is available. The illustrations are really good and overall I would highly recommend this book. ![]() One More Time $12.99 Brian Kinder, singer/songwriter, has once more put together 13 original and imaginative Children's songs.
