This is my first ipod. I've had other MP3 players before because the ipod is admittedly much more expensive. I've had this product for a few months and I love it. It is very easy to sync to the computer, very easy to charge and to organize playlists and files. The sounds quality is great. Definitely a great investment! No more of the frustrations , that I had with other MP3 players.

I bought this ipod to replace my fourth generation 20 gig that was damaged on a fishing trip. It worked great for about 4 months, then it started randomly skipping over certain songs after only a few seconds of play. A couple of months later, it started freezing itunes every time I tried to sync it, so I was unable to put any new music or podcasts on it. I tried to restore it, however, that didn't work either, leaving me with an ipod with no content on it, that would not sync. Now, when I plug the ipod into my MacBook, itunes does not recognize it. I have tried sending it in to Apple 3 times, and each time they mail it back to me, saying that absolutely nothing is wrong with it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes, I have tried syncing it to friend's itunes on other computers, nothing works. Ipods have suffered a major dip in quality, as has Apple customer service.
