![]() Haggard (Rated Version) $24.99 Even at 34 years old this movie still impresses me. It has a realness to it unlike the fake hollywood videos. Even the acting is good, even though I think most of these guys are just being themselves but with a script. I can't say there is anything I would have done different, considering what this movie is. If you are expecting a million dollar hollywood film, this isn't for you. If you're looking for something different, something with character, and you like these guys you'll LOVE this movie. ![]() Awaking the Centuries $24.98 There's not too much for me to say here, except that I absolutely adore this album, and it strikes me as enchantingly beautiful and brings me back a couple of centuries. I love how it is written in so many different languages! English, German, Latin, Russian, and French for sure, and maybe some others I have not noticed. The combination of metal and classical music makes me heart sing and Awaking the Centuries is (for me) the standard by which all other classical metal bands are compared. ![]() Tales of Ithiria $28.98 This was my first Haggard Album, and I found it to be quite good although not exceptional. It is a welcome addition to my library. Some music simply gets on my nerves, and this music does not at all despite the constant growls, which I typically do not like in large doses. However, somehow this group make the growls work here a bit more for me than they typically would. The production and arrangements are really quite good, and the soprano vocals were very pleasant to my ears. The story lines are quite complex and certainly required a lot of imagination and hard work. Additionally, some of the songs are written well enough that they stay with you, or at least you want them to. Therefore, for my purposes I will give this album 4 to 4-1/2 stars. Good job, Haggard. I hope the next one is even better, and if it is, you can count on this customer to queue up and purchase that CD as well. ![]() Bam Margera Presents: Where the #$&% is Santa? $24.98 I liked Bam when he was on tv he was funny, he should stick to that. I was disappointed with this film it was too fake. And had way to much of Novack naked. None of the original jackass crew are in this film. It was like he just wanted to promote his record label and bar. The only good scenes where of Finland and HIM. Andy Mcoy of Hanoi Rocks fame was so drunk he could barely talk very sad. All in all this was not worth the money. |
