It is an older album than most of the others. All but one of the songs on this album is an original, non-standard Gospel title, so the songs are "new". Each has excellent orchestra backup, and it is her style is to make the songs more complex by changing range of melody as it progresses. Damaris has a an unusually clear, smooth and somewhat lower pitch voice, which makes her music stand out. Most of the selections are upbeat and have a modern feel. I really like this CD and have purchased several to give away to friends and relatives.  Giving Away Simone $19.00 Jan L Waldron's first book is her true story of giving up her first child for adoption. Her family history - 5 generations of women giving up or abandoning children - is incredible. She bares her soul in the telling of reconnecting with her birthdaughter. It is full of heartbreak and love as birthmother and daughter try to learn the whys and wherefores of the separation and the coming together. Highly recommend! |
