You cannot afford to have long customer service calls. Power unit of my 1TB external hard drive crashed right after 6 months I purchased it. Since there was no correct/quick response for data recovery, I had to send that for repair. The first condition of repair is no one backs up the data. I was hoping that I will get my data recovered since there was a problem in power unit only. I was advised to backup my data [I am not sure how can I take backup if the power is off]. All my data was lost. I think we should keep backup of backup hard disk . I stopped believing in the external hard drives. However HDDs w/o external power are good. |
