![]() So You Want to Franchise Your Business $19.95 The cover of the book says "How to Franchise a Concept for Less Than $100,000". On page 10, the book says "To determine if your business is franchisable, see if the following criteria apply to you: ...Do you have between $100,000 and $150,000 in capital to invest in the franchise program?" I think that alone should deter anyone from reading this book. If you are going to be lied to between the cover and page 10, you might not trust the rest of the book. Besides, the sentence structure is clunky and there are numerous grammatical errors that make this text hard to get through. ![]() Franchising 101: The Complete Guide to Evaluating, Buying and Growing Your Franchise Business $22.95 As the President of FranchiseInterviews.com, I am constantly reading books and articles on franchising. I consider Franchising 101 one of the best sources on franchising. ![]() Street Smart Franchising $19.95 I expected more. Will be looking at other books on the market, but have not yet, so cannot comment on how it compares to others. I was just really looking for less general info (I know what a franchise is) and more specific info to evaluate them. ![]() Franchising For Dummies (For Dummies (Business & Personal Finance)) $24.99 Good general source of information; however, it is more geared for the franchisee rather than a franchisor. The CD provides some good information and links, along with some generic spreed sheets and budget templates in MS-Excel. It's a decent starting point that covers the basic concepts. |
