I have been an amateur flower arranger for a few years. I have provided decoration etc. for a few friends and their parties, but I never had the first idea of how to start my own business. After reading, Stephanie's book, I realized there is much more to the floral industry than just flower arranging and delivery. She breaks the business down into pieces and details the peaks and valley of the business and taught me to think of it as a business with a product. I was surprised in her chapter about the ins and outs of daily business exactly how much work, organization and planning went into the daily running of a floral shop. I found her information about creating a successful online presence to be particularly helpful. I know without this book, I would not have been prepared for the world of the floral industry and I would recommend this to anyone from the shop owner to the floral enthusiast.
