These are pretty decent boxes for the price. I was disappointed, however, when I purchased the item based on the advertised dimensions to fit in the 13"x13"x15" segments of my IKEA Expedit bookshelf. The dimensions are the INTERIOR dimensions of the box. The box itself is slightly bigger, and the lid is slightly greater than 13". So if you are purchasing these based on the dimensions, understand that the box,w/lid is larger than the dimensions listed.

I looked around many of the local stores for a portable file box and every one I found was really junky. Some of them were already broken on the store shelves. I wanted a box that was sturdy and easy to use. This product fit my needs. If you already have an old one, don't expect the quality of this to be as good as the one you have. But - this is the best I have found manufactured today. It is a little wider than most so the files slide more easily. It comes with the metal bars for the folders to ride on and the bars fit nice and tight. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. Although, one disadvantage is that the lid does not open all the way back. It stays straight up and sometimes shuts on its own if leaned forward slightly. It was delivered directly from Amazon.com and the delivery of this item, as usual, was extremely fast.

This looked very sturdy, so I bought it for my son for school. The back of the file was wripped away from the rest within the first 2 weeks. Very disappointing for the price.
