Another Kindle book I've devoured. I am missing the characters already - and wondering what happens to the "new tribes" after the dust has settled. This book blends fantastic scientific ideas and terminology with our modern day global dilemmas... and leaves us with a 'what-if' that gives chills. What a ride this book was. I hope for a sequel, to bring us up to speed with Mark, Carl, Sarah, and Kathy. And Ralph, the Rottweiler, too! Thank you for a fantastic trip!

This is the first Rachel Hauck title I've read but it won't be the last. Creative, independent Elle Garvey knows what she wants out of life. Or she thinks she does. Everything she loves is in Beaufort, SC. Life couldn't be better. Until ex-football hero turned charasmatic preacher, Jeremiah Franklin sweeps her off her feet. So why isn't she at peace with her decisions?

Love Starts with Elle is a true-to-life story that proves life is seldom without complications and doubts. I haven't yet read Sweet Caroline, the first book in the series, but that did not keep me from enjoying Love Starts with Elle and connecting with the characters. A beautiful read. Honest and well written, this award winning author has done it again.

I'm another reader who can't even begin to understand why this book was so popular, or why people rave about Gruen's writing. I thought the writing was mediocre at best, and that the plot, narration, and dialogue were BORING! Plus, the characters aren't very likable, and the frequent graphic sex scenes are completely unnecessary. I tried to like this book, and I tried to finish it, but I really couldn't, on either count.

This was my first Rachel Hauk book. Love her. Thought she had some funny moments, and I loved how she developed her characters. We get the perfect amount of history so we feel we know them but aren't bored to tears with endless stories.

It stays pretty light hearted through out. I love that too, b/c of all the Christian fiction books I've loved- they've all been extremely emotional. And other Christian "romantic" books I've read? CHEESE.
And here this book was- the perfect combination of beginners faith that encourages you, and yet comedy to keep you laughing, interesting characters to keep you hooked, and no overwhelming sense of doom so this is just some good old brainless reading.... and then BAM. A horrible ending.

I haven't noticed anyone else on here commenting on it, so apparently I'm a rare person affected by that. But when I'm reading a romantic comedy (which is what I googled when I stumbled upon this book) then I want it wrapped in a beautiful bow and ended with contentment. This ended only left me feeling like book 2 is just starting. So there must be another one then, huh? What happens to Caroline?????

All in all I would definitely recommend this author. I really enjoyed 99% of this book. I would just add an appendix or something about how her decisions turned out (sorry to be vague but I don't want to ruin it for others).
