My son loves this book and so do I. I love the fact that it has a diverse array of illustraton of children from all walks of life. Well written and fun to read over and over again.

I bought this for my son who is about to turn three, I wanted to get a book that would help him understand his emotions and others emotions. I thought this book was the most ridiculous thing I'd ever seen, the only things I liked about it was the first and last page ("I have feelings and How do you feel?") and the paper airplane story on page 12. It did more illustrating of overblown emotions and doesn't even state what emotion is being illustrated. it has phrases like: "I'd like to CHOKE Alicia, Elizabeth likes her more than me!" and on a page about sharing after the boys share and one compliments the other for sharing he says "You're unselfish, not like some people." and it shows a little boy playing with several cars by himself. I realize not all kids share well but do we really need to place emphasis on talking behinds other back about how they don't share?

It has it's decent points but all-in-all I was very dissatisfied with the whole book, I want my son to learn to understand and properly express his emotions, not to learn how to be over-the-top and whiny.

I bought this book years ago to help my son let us know how he was feeling. Other charts/books did not interest him. This has the artist's take on each mood and it appealed to my son.

Since then I have used it with all 3 of my children, my husband and even myself. Sometimes it is hard to know what you are feeling, to express it with words. these pictures let you express it without words.

I think every teacher, class, therapist, parent, and family should have one of these. IT is a great tool to help you communicate with the people in your life. This billboard format is great in an office, handy at home, and invaluable if you have a child.

My 1-yr-old son loves this book so much I really can't believe it! He holds it out to be read and loves the expressive faces of the kids in the book. I also think it helps him understand "how he's feeling" even at his young age. The other day he was a little grouchy and I asked him "are you grumpy?" (which is one of the feelings in the book), and his eyes lit right up! Definitely recommend it- just wish it was a board book!
