![]() Numark M3 Full-featured Scratch Mixer $149.00 BETTER, this thing sux I will probuly never buy a piece of NUMARK equiptment again. Let start by saying that I have'nt even had the mixer for 2 months and already dealing with mass bleeding of the fader and thats with me being gentle with this piece of junk I never got ruff with it but of course that sort of thing is not covered in the warrenty. Next the Transform buttons are pretty much worthless seeing that it does nothing that your fader can't do they seem to get in the way more than getting used. Basically only worth half the price, here I am with a basically brand new mixer that already needs me to dump money that I dont have into it just to bring this thing back to par. Anyone want to buy a mixer. ![]() BBE Acoustimax Acoustic Instrument Preamp Pedal with Full Featured Sonic Maximizer $329.00 I have some nice acoustic guitars, but was never satisfied with their "plugged-in" sound. I have Fishman passive under saddle pickups installed in my Gibson Acoustics which were the least intrusive but not necessarily the best sounding way to amplify an acoustic guitar. I ran them into a Fishman pre-amp that helped a bit, but not a lot. After getting the Acoustimax, all that has changed. I can get a nice rich and balanced sound from my guitars with only slight adjustments. The Sonic maximizer adds presence to the sound and teh notch filter really helps dial in the tone. I can't imagine taking either my J-200 or my Hummingbird out to play without bringing the Acoustimax along to plug in to. Recording into a digital recorder is also greatly enhanced since I added the pedal. every acoustic player should own one. ![]() The Civil War - Traditional American Songs And Instrumental Music Featured In The Film By Ken Burns: Original Soundtrack Recording $18.98 I enjoyed this music after visiting Gettysburg Battlefield and two Civil War battlefields in Virginia. I had forgotten most of the music from the miniseries since it was on TV so long ago and it is nice to hear it again. ![]() Music Featured in the Motion Picture The Pianist: Nine Pieces by Frederic Chopin for Piano Solo $9.95 Before I start reviewing this product, I have to inform you that I am NOT 13/under ... Damn password ... anyways ... For me, Im usually very picky on *POP* music on piano. Its almost degrating to hear people play NEW AGE music on the piano, simply because my ears are trained classicaly. I just dont find it very appealing ... But, onto the review ... This book contains 9 of the songs that debuted ( well, actually theve been around for quite a long time ...) in the movie "THE PIANIST". And I thought to myself, well, I might as well give this book a shot, seeing as how the movie was INCREDIBLE, and the music completed it. Well, let me tell you something ... It took me 2 MONTHS, just to learn ONE of the songs. Which, by the way was the longest one in the book. In the movie, the pianist plays "Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23" to the german officer. And I simply fell in love with that particular song! So, I bought the soundtrack to the movie, then the piano book, and then started learning the piece. If youve ever gotten the chance to hear the FULL, ENTIRE version ( he only plays about half of the song to the german officer. ) then you well know that it sounds EXTREMELY difficult. Which it most CERTAINLY is ... So, I learned 1 line a day, sometimes 2, sometimes only a half a line. There are 84 lines in the piece, and I almost lost my sanity several times while trying to learn the piece. But, when I Played it at my uncles wedding reception, I got a standing ovation, and then I knew, that it was all worth it ... But be warned ... This book is NOT for beginners !!! NO NO NO NO NO !!! So, now that I have my official SHOW OFF piece, I guess I can go on to learn the other songs ... Go out and by this book !!! Your audience will love you for it !!! |
