 ISkin eVo3 Blaze - Case for digital player - silicone - exciting red - iPod with video (5G) 30GB $34.99 I bought one of these cases 2 years ago (a black one), but recently (about 2 months ago) the clip on it broke. I was so impressed on the durability and protection it offers I bought a red one (figured I'd mix it up a little). I'm rough on things sometimes and between deployments and every day use the plastic screen cover scratches, but hey it's better than scratching my ipod!  Ralph S. Mouse and More Exciting Animal Adventure Stories (Scholastic Video Collection) $14.95 What the first reviewers apparently did not know is that this video is part of a larger collection of videos which bring favorite children's stories to video. This one does contain one episode of the Ralph S. Mouse series, as well as several other titles. There are dozens of Scholastic Video Collection videos, all available on both DVD or VHS as far as I know. They are great videos, which all 4 of my kids have enjoyed. Most have bonus stories in addition to the two or three listed on the back, some have interviews with authors or illustrators, and some have read-along features or Spanish-language versions. If you are looking for the complete series of Ralph S. Mouse, look somewhere else. If you are looking for children's books animated on video, then this is a good one to start with.  The New Portuguese Table: Exciting Flavors from Europe's Western Coast $32.50 Having lived in Brazil for five years and one of several who think that Brazilian food is the best in the world, I was eager to find a cook book that would bring together the cuisine from Brazil's homeland. I was very pleased to find this cook book that adds a modern take to the standard Portuguese fare. The New Portuguese Table cookbook is excellent. It is written from a point of view of a son of a Portuguese couple that was born in the US and returned to Portugal to find emerging newer versions of the standard Portuguese cuisine. It covers not only the food, but wine of this fine country (and its islands) blended with the cultural settings. The soups are excellent and am looking forward to trying all the meat/seafood dishes included herein. This is a keeper!! |
