Concur with the prior reviewers...Using this as an example, Harte has no business referring to himself as an author. Admittedly, I had low expectations for a technical text under 100 pages; but it failed to even meet my low expectations. It would have been more valuable and had more substance if it just listed every CDMA2000-related specification and synopsized its purpose.

Adding to the numerous reviews already posted, I have to say this is the best product I've seen in recent times, excluding Ubuntu 9.10. :-)

It is superior in setup and flexibility to any consumer-based router in ease of setup and management. It actually detected and downloaded it's own firmware update, and did it at first login, having already connected via my Verizon-Sierra 595U USB card. My Dell Precision M4300/Ubuntu 9.10 built-in wireless connected via WPA seamlessly. The signal appears to be strong.

Extremely small footprint and VERY well engineered user interface! Having installed and setup countless Linksys, DLink and other wireless routers, this device, so far, is heads above them all. My only experience with a cellular-featured system is the ZyXel unit, and with it's cost and PCMCIA port and difficult firewall, it is no longer a recommended unit compared to the Cradlepoint unit. Viewing the offerings from the usual companies for this product and the reviews for this device, I had to take a chance on it.

Lots of options if you choose to expand and tweak it's capabilities, but as a basic system it does the job as well.

(Where has this company been hiding?) Hope it continues to impress over the long haul.
