Especially considering both the wife and mother-in-law are home all day to care for the baby and keep house? It would be hard to find a less emotionally involving film than this.The story has a complete lack of focus,and fails to give any indication that this pair is "made for each other".They didn't triumph over diversity-or anything.They just seemed to be completely inept at handling the basic realities of life,too caught up in their own immature "woe-is-me" attitude.When a real tragic circumstance finally does occur (the baby's illness),the whole thing is so absurb,it's impossible to care. This is one film that deserves to be in the dollar bin. |
