![]() Better Than Bullet Points: Creating Engaging e-Learning with PowerPoint $50.00 This is a great book for understanding the fundamentals of e-learning design, as well as seeing how a user-friendly presentation tool, PowerPoint, can be used for getting started with e-learning. The book has a nice mix of theory and practical advice and examples. I recently recommended the book to some soft-skills trainers who were just starting to think about putting some of their face-to-face instruction online. This book was perfect for them because they are skilled and experienced facilitators, but not designers, of learning. ![]() E-Learning: Strategies for Delivering Knowledge in the Digital Age $29.95 This book is a must!!! It is an essential approach for understanding eLearning beyond the myriad of applications and placing it as part of a wider framework. ![]() Delivering E-Learning: A Complete Strategy for Design, Application and Assessment $49.95 As a Training Manager (now re-branding myself as Head of Learning) at a medium size global business, this book has been all of the following: a great read, a toolkit, a handbook and an inspiration. I am extremely happy that I chose this one out of all the other eLearning books. For anyone who needs to understand eLearning at work from a strategic perspective, I cannot recommend this book too highly. The references for further reading and research are excellent ![]() Michael Allen's Guide to E-Learning $36.95 This is one of two books for an online e-Learning class I am taking. Well organized. Easy to understand. Clear examples and exercises. CD easy to order and helpful. I was able to put the design ideas into use at work my first day at work after reading the design chapter. Began to move from boring, PowerPoint-like Captivate modules to entertaining, challenging modules that engage the user. I strongly recommend this book for designers, managers, and executives/business owners who are or are considering implementing or improving their e-learning offerings! |
