Last winter I had never seen as many squirrels as years before, getting onto my feeder and eating the bird food. First I tried trapping them and relocating them; the more I relocated, the more came. I wondered why so many, so I started spraying their tails with glow paint to see if any came back. Sure enough, they always made it back "home." I hope this made you laugh or at least chuckle.

Well, I had HAD it with squirrels, tried a different "squirrel proof" feeder on the market which did not work at ALL. Birds never came at all. After a lot of research, I found the Yankee Flipper. I wondered if I could fit it into my budget, but I knew I couldn't take the squirrels anymore (any size or type squirrel), and I just couldn't let the birds go without food in a frigid winter. I'd rather feed them than spend money on things I didn't need.

I went ahead and got the Yankee Flipper, so easy to charge and put together and fill. There's an on/off switch for the motor and easy to operate. Just remember to turn it OFF before refilling or your fingers will be flipping off, too. Birds came immediately, and the tube is too long for a squirrel to hang from the top to get to one of the feeding ports. What a big surprise for a squirrel to find that if he touched the bottom ring, he would be flung off like a leaf. It was funny to see and the squirrel was not hurt, nor did he come back more than twice. He'd had enough swinging and flipping.

This feeder is so easy to fill and not only that, the top goes on so tight that you don't ever have to worry about water getting in or squirrels trying to pry it off. It's made of the best materials and, for those of you who wonder about how often you have to charge the motor, I charged mine once last winter and that charge lasted the entire winter. But I guess the more squirrels that flip away, the more you will have to charge it. But I had to charge it only once, and usually the squirrel never tried it again after the first flip.

And to think of all that time I wasted relocating squirrels. I must have done it 20 times... what a hoot! This feeder is worth every penny and will probably last a lifetime. I'll have to be sure to leave it to a bird lover in my will, for sure.
