 Gerald Finzi: Choral Works $18.98 The highlight of this wonderful disc is the recording of Lo, the Full, Final Sacrifice, which is heard less often than Finzi's shorter, better known songs such as My Spirit Sang All Day or Clear and Gentle Stream. But this is perhaps his masterpiece. Certainly it's among my favorite choral pieces, and on my short list for desert island music of any genre. The Finzi Singers are, as always, superb.  NASA Moon Landing $1.99 This episode of MythBusters deals with debunking Moon Landing conspiracy theory myths. There has been a great deal of pseudoscience and observational "evidence" by the doubters to back the claim that man has never walked on the moon. Jamie, Adam, Tory, Grant, and Kari tackle such favorites as the Lighting in the Pictures, the Waving Flag, the Bouncy Walking, and the Crisp Footprint. We also get see Adam in "Zero" gravity on the "Vomit Comet" (a plane that flies in extreme parabolic arcs to simulate weightlessness), which is always fun if you have seen other episodes where Adam is subjected to anything with motion (boats, flying, etc). This is a very fun episode and is one of my favorites! |
