I started watching Top Chef in season 3, so it was fun to go back and watch seasons 1 and 2. It's enjoyable to see how Top Chef has developed since the first season. The first couple of episodes are a little slow, but the show definitely gets better as it goes along, and the final five or six chefs could stand up against the chefs from any of the other seasons. Although it has its moments, Season 1 is less focused on personality conflicts than Season 2. I'd recommend it to any Top Chef fan!

This satirical film goes by with no laughs while posing as a comedy. It's only when you think about what's on the screen, that you see the darkness. Aldomovar hits a lot of vices here: sex, drugs, child molestation, prostitution, murder. Yet, none of these normally titillating topics seem to go very far here. The film sits there and washes past you. What does it all mean? That's up to you, but it's a typical European film with ambiguities and things left unsaid that seem momentous, but which may not be, in reality. Interesting views of working class life in Madrid that tourists don't see.

I love, love, love this CD. I am a second grade teacher and I often play music in my classroom during downtime or seatwork. I stumbled across this CD as I was randomling searching for something different to listen to for children and I am so glad I did. The songs are enjoyable for both boys and girls and I find that when they are not in my room I listen to it on my own. It is great because it combines some old classics like This Old Man and The Itsy Bitsy Spider with new music they are unfamiliar with. The variety of talented artists performing these songs is amazing....Jackson Browne and Jennifer Warnes performance of Golden Slumber as well as Carole King singing Child of Mine are some of my favorites, however I enjoy them all!!! This is a must buy:)
