![]() The Roads of Colorado $16.95 If you want to get in a truck with a flyrod and a gun and find your way to the backcountry, this is the book you need! The land use markings are exceedingly useful for determining land open to the public--the most critical information on ANY map for the non-Ted Turners out there. The scale is much better than that in the DeLorme series. The lack of contour lines is sometimes unfortunate, but marked peaks and river drainages generally allow for adequate mental representation of the terrain. My copy of this work has been abused to the extreme. It is covered in pen scratches, watermarks, soiled folds, and packing tape. Without the latter it would be in pieces. The Roads of Colorado has become my map of choice and my journal of happenstance. |
