People are getting all worked up about the directionality of these cables and how getting them backwards will make your music play backwards. This is incorrect. Since these cables transmit a digital "bit-stream" (a flow of "1"s and "0"s through the "copper nano electron tubes" of the cable) it actually only mirrors each bit (which is either a "1" or a "0"). Since the characters "1" and "0" are symmetrical, this mirroring does not affect the sound of the "bit-stream" flow. Even though it is flipped it still looks and sounds the same.

There is one exception to this: If your receiver uses an internal font where the "1"s have a hangy thing that hangs of the top left, this will be mirrored to where it hangs to the right side. It isn't super noticeable on systems under $50,000, but does add to a dark muddiness and a flatness to tones in the 30,000 "hertz" and higher frequencies.

I would have been saving so much money on this cable, but be aware it is NOT dishwasher safe. I waste so much money on $10 cables because they are always wearing out in the weather in my living room or catching fire. If this cable could have lasted me just as long as 50 normal $10 cables, it would have paid for itself. But silly me, putting it in the dishwasher to clean it off and get that crisp, new, clean-cable sound pushed my break even date to 100x normal cables. These cables are HAND WASH/LINE DRY only!!! They sound best when you wash it in unicorn blood.
