Fearless Undead Machines
Fearless Undead Machines

$16.98
One of THE classic metal albums of the late 90s(there were a lot of good ones but but not many classics) and destined to be forgotten due to the time it came out (when metal was even more uncool than usual).I'm not usually so passionate that I can call another person's opinion straight out incorrect but the clown who gave this one star is so far wrong I just had to comment.
The concept is puerile unless you have ever got into the whole zombie flick thing but the music is immense. There are not many albums this long (67 minutes) that can engage the listener a)initially or b)over 10 years which is how long I've had it - not in any genre- just look in your local second hand shop to see my point.
Giving this album 1 star is like saying Iron Maiden never added anything to the metal genre. Anyone thinking this is wrong. Buy it.

Up until now, Fearless Undead Machines was my favorite Deceased album, and ranked among my top 10 albums of all time. As The Weird Travel On is, in most respects, better than Fearless. The band retains its perfect balance between speed and power, rage and melody, aggression and composition. But it also expands upon the complex songwriting of Fearless and Supernatural Addiction. This is, I think, death metal in one of its most evolved forms. Great work, guys.

Corpes Souls & Other Strangeness

$14.49
Released in 2003, this album collects the band's otherwise out-of-print 'Luck Of The Corpse' debut album (originally released in 1992), their absolutely excellent '13 Frightenend Souls' EP from 1993 (including a cover of Voivod's "Voivod"!), plus four bonus tracks (two alternate takes and two live tracks).

Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased), Set 1

$79.95
This is a wonderful comedy-drama from UK television company ITC. The leads are perfectly cast: Mike Pratt is very believable as the ordinary guy struggling to make a living as a private detective; Kenneth Cope is perfect as the debonair ghost, and the team is nicely complemented by Annette Andre as Hopkirk's widow who helps out as secretary to the surviving partner, Randall. This was one of my favourite shows when it first came out and I still love it. What I don't understand is the price being charged for this set. It has been on my wish list for some time, but I have just picked up a brand new set of the complete series, here in New Zealand (NOT a bootleg, but a genuine original boxed set, released by ITC, the makers of the show) for the equivalent of $14 in American money. Amazon prices are usually quite good, even with the international postage, but for this one they're charging nearly six times as much as I paid, and for only half as many episodes!
