 Dauntless (The Lost Fleet, Book 1) $7.99 I dont usually read sci-fi, so I took a chance based on the reviews. I am glad I did! The book captured my attention almost immediately and I couldnt put it down since. It is fast action and has some interesting view points on leadership, honor, courage, pride, and the human condition as it relates to war. Thw setting could as well have taken place in the past or present and the principles still would stay relevant. Currently I am reading the second instalment in the series. What a great find I stumbled on!  Courageous (The Lost Fleet, Book 3) $7.99 I had thoroughly enjoyed reading the previous two books but this one got lost in the tiresome and irritating Senator Rione. I grew irritated with her behavior at about 1/3 and simply disgusted with the space devoted to her and her foibles. Unfortunately, she won't get lost or improve with time, so this is the last of the series I read. I'm reading for an action/adventure story, not touchy-feely relationship logbooks.  Valiant (The Lost Fleet, Book 4) $7.99 I started with the firest book Dauntless and read right through all 5. Great story teller with interesting management twist. |
