I bought this book looking for new ideas on dates to enjoy with my husband. I wasn't impressed. The ideas they give you are so extremly basic. I thought the book would be full of new and exciting ideas. It's just not the book I was expecting.

My favorite dates are Medjool but these organic Pavich Deglet Noors are delightful and a great bargain from Amazon Grocery. I always keep several cans on hand. As a raw foodie I consume a lot of dates. I just love them ~ right out of the can as a delicious, nutritious snack or even as a complete wholesome meal with celery or cucumber. Of course dates are used in many of my favorite raw vegan recipes as well, especially in smoothies or desserts.

Considering how many organic dates I use on a regular basis these Pavich organic dates purchased from Amazon save me a lot of money. I would love to eat Medjool over Deglet Noor any day but Medjools are just too expensive for my food budget. The Pavich dates are consistently good. There is the occasional tough-skinned date or one that isn't quite as sweet as the others but still I have to give Pavich dates 5 stars for overall quality and value.
