This album is easily the greatest CD I've ever listened to. As The Roots Undo brought together the rage and emotion of punk and grindcore with the poetic beauty of screamo. The production is not without its imperfections but the songwriting and feel of each song is captured almost to perfection. What's really genius about As The Roots Undo, though, is how perfectly the music and energy flow with the poetry recited by the vocalists. "Kill The Switch" is by far the best song on the CD with nine and a half minutes of ridiculously dynamic songwriting. The song takes a lot of transitions but all are done naturally rather than being forced. I highly recommend that any music guru who loves to hear something new done check out As The Roots Undo. It will be a long time before someone releases an album that will even come close to this one in pureness and complexity.
