Ameriwood Expert Plum Work Center with Hutch
Ameriwood Expert Plum Work Center with Hutch

$199.99
Let me start by saying that I could not find a desk of this size anywhere else for anywhere near this low price. So, for $199.99, if you need a large computer desk, this is worth the money.

However, assembly is a major pain. The instructions, all 35 steps, are simply diagrams with minimal writing. There are tons of boards that are not marked by any corresponding letter sticker, however the instructions name them all by letter. We spent about 12 man-hours on this assembly, and we consider ourselves experienced at putting furniture together.

Quality is another issue. Many pieces arrived chipped and scratched. The whole set is particle board, although heavy and sturdy. Some other pieces crumbled while inserting the screws. The instructions offer free replacement parts if they arrive damaged but we didn't bother.

The box arrived marked 149 pounds.

In conclusion, this desk is a decent value for the price. However, don't expect to get a lifetime-quality piece of furniture here.
Short Game Golf with Jim Furyk & Fred Funk
Short Game Golf with Jim Furyk & Fred Funk

$24.98
This video provides a fun way to finetune your short game. Funk and Furyk are good friends and have fun in the video. They review the mechanics of each swing as well as how they think through the various shots presented around the green. I have had the pleasure of playing with Jim Furyk recently and he reconfirmed with me on the course that my handicap could be cut in half or better if I practiced the skills learned on this video (typical of most amateurs). I am going to try and create this challenge match with a buddy somewhere as this would make the practice a lot more fun. This video is well worth the norminal investment. I purchased a dozen for the people who were not able to play with Jim that day..small consolation prize.
Kensington Expert Mouse Optical USB Trackball for PC or Mac 64325
Kensington Expert Mouse Optical USB Trackball for PC or Mac 64325

$127.95
Have used the original white Kensington Expert Mouse at my home office for years. Still works great to this day. Bought the current version for a computer at work and was disappointed with the quality and several of the design changes.
> biggest disappointment was the buttons which are too hard to push. Much harder than any mouse button you are used to. My thumb quickly got tired and sore... just asking for a repetitive stress injury.
> they steepened the angle of the face of the track ball forcing you to tilt your wrist back more
> For fine movement, I found the metal rollers on the older version smoother and more precise than the laser.
> the older version is heavier, feels solid, made in USA. The newer feels light, hollow, a bit cheesy... and no offense to anyone, but made in China.

I'd recommend going to ebay or another site where you can pick up used/vintage equipment and buying one of the original Kensington Expert Mouse trackballs - mine is going strong after 12 years, and its far better made than the current offering.
