![]() Shantung Compound: The Story of Men and Women Under Pressure $15.99 I came across this book when cleaning out the attic of an old house I bought. In the evening I sat down to read it and couldn't put it down. While others might comment on the theology of the book, I can comment on how Gilkey brought to life the ingenuity, goodness, baseness, unselfishness, selfishness, morality, and immorality of the camp inhabitants. Gilkey comments on a thousand little things that made this microcosm of humanity very real to the reader. Every few pages I found myself thinking "What would I do in that situation?" , "How would I handle that?" His stories too of how the camp was set up and organized also appealed to me. (How the camp set up a bank for example). A classic. ![]() On Target for Tuning Your Compound Bow $13.95 This book has a lot of information in it to be a thin book.
