He accurately portrays an interesting and fascinating piece of history in Shreveport, Louisiana. George D'Artois was a very powerful man, much like the famous Bull Connors of Birmingham. Mr. Keith follows the rise and downfall of D'Artois and leaves the reader wanting to know more. I sense there might be another book about Louisiana politics, and I am certainly looking forward to it. |
