 New Bible Commentary: 21st Century Edition $45.00 I had used an older edition of this book and realized that it was a must for my library. This new edition is easy to use and filled with information about each book of the Bible. The authors wrote their commentaries in a method that is easy to read and understand. If you want good Biblical commentaries, this is the book. -- Kenneth Whitman  The MacArthur Bible Commentary $39.99 John MacArthur is a very distinguished bible schoolar and teacher, his insight and interpretation of scripture is accurate and biblically based. It is difficult to find these complete commentaries anymore, I was happy to be able find one on amazon from a private vendor.  KJV Standard Lesson Commentary $15.99 This is a bargain for so much material. I base my sunday school lessons on this framework, but work in my own illustrations and discussion questions. Like any lesson material, some have more pop than others. I very much like that, so far, the lessons are very denomination-neutral. So much of the other curriculum out there, that I have seen, is for towing the denomination line. The "activities" at the end of each lesson seem to be geared more for a teen-age class, but the lessons themselves have real meat to them. Overall, very good... |
