The camera work absolutely wrecks this DVD.
First the music.
PF and his band are on fire. These guys truly appreciate what the world has given them, and it shows tenfold. They're into the crowd, the songs, the night, everything about this performance says that they're glad to be here. The song selection is a mix of both vintage old tunes(Do You Feel..., Show Me the Way, Baby I Love Your Way), and for the year the concert was recorded, somewhat new (Lying, Can't Take That Away, and others I just can't think of right now).

The DVD itself however is not quite so hot.
They employ (and believe me, it DOES look like work) the
"Lovely MTV Cut-Away Camera Method".
It got so bad that I had to skip ahead during Show Me The Way, as the cameras were switching back and forth (between roughly 5 cameras) at a rate of about 1 second, or less, between shots. It rendered the song (and a truly fantastic performance of it) unwatchable.
As one of the few Frampton DVDs out there, it has some good moments, not all of the songs are beaten up that badly, but to get a completely enjoyable concert, I'm going to try "Live in Detroit" instead.

The Geek Atlas is an awesome book. It goes through and talks about 128 places to visit where interesting scientific things occurred. In addition to that for each place, there are 1-2 pages explaining something technical that is related to that location. This book is a must read!
